Freie Deutsche Jugend. 

Orange Freie Deutsche Jugend beret. Made by VEB Vereinigte Dresdner Hutfabriken. The X.Weltfestspiele der Jugend und Studenten button does not belong to the beret, but both were owned by the original owner so I've kept them together.

Differences in the Berets Lining.

The Lining in the above Landstreitkrafte, Luftstreitkrafte and Volksmarine berets from the 1980's have linings that are constructed to accomadate the cockades used.

The Landstreitkrafte and the Volksmarine berets using the metal wreath cockade both have a single opening to assist in the attachment of the cockade to the beret. 

 The Luftstreitkrafte beret has two openings in the liner in consideration of the length of the  Luftstreitkrafte cockade.

The berets that use an embroidered cockade have no openings. The embroidered cockades are sown to the outer layer of the beret.
